Testimonies

We believe that God is good and wants to bless people so that they know His love for them is real. We know that we are His hands and feet to the world.

A word from Sue Henderson who enjoys recording testimonies of our families...

I am absolutely amazed by the tenacity, strength and kindness of our clients. When I started the interviewing process I had no idea what to expect. What I have found is a group of people that I have loved spending time with and getting to know. But, for the Hope Center, our paths may never have crossed and I am so blessed by each and every one of them. I have also seen the hearts of those who serve. They truly love what they are doing and love getting to know people they might never have had the chance to know. I have asked our clients what they like most about the Hope Center. Everyone has said that it has decreased the stress in their lives. Knowing they will be able to feed their families is a huge blessing. Many mentioned they don’t feel any embarrassment seeking assistance and I think that is a big testament to those who are serving. But for the grace of God any of us could be in a similar situation. Their stories are real and their struggles are true. I have volunteered in many different capacities over the years and I have to say I come away every week from the Hope Center feeling more blessed than those we serve.

I have also heard from our clients about the friendliness and the love of those who serve. They greet the clients with a smile and show respect to all. The clients love the presence of God and everyone has mentioned they leave feeling more close to the Lord than when they arrived. They are open to prayer and those serving are more than willing to pray for each and every one of them. When asked what we could improve upon every single answer I got was “nothing”.

For those working in the pantry the love is overflowing, not only for their fellow volunteers but for those coming through for help. Friendships have been formed that will last a lifetime. I have to say the management is fabulous. Their hearts are 100% behind those we serve. I would like to ask anyone looking for volunteer hours to please seek out the Hope Center. You will be serving your community, but you will get back much more than you give! And, if you are in need of help, please, please check us out! I honestly cannot say enough good things about the Hope Center.
